World of Warcraft - Popular World Events

World of Warcraft has a slightly softer side that shows through with their world events. There are many of these events occurring throughout the entire calendar year and some of the most popular ones are discussed here. Each of the world events has achievements for completing certain tasks. They also each have rewards such as pets, mounts, and novelty items.

Below you'll find 5 of the most popular WoW events that occur each year:

1. Love is in the Air- This is an event based off of Valentine's Day. It's held every year in February. There are 15 achievements you can earn for different activities such as, obtaining a "lovely dress". Some of the novelty items you can collect are candy hearts, roses, charm bracelets, perfume or cologne and of course the lovely dress. There is also a pet by the name of Peddlefeet and a winged goblin resembling cupid that you can add to your collection.

2. Noblegarden- This one is closely related to Easter with all the trimmings. Rabbits, egg hunts, and candy all make this one week celebration exciting and fun. There are 10 achievements you can get for this springtime event. Noblegarden has two rewards that will make collecting the chocolate worth it. These include a tome for mages to morph enemies into rabbits and a pet rabbit.

3. Brewfest- This is a loosely translated holiday mimicking Germany's Oktoberfest. There is an event boss Coren Direbrew, who can be found in Blackrock depths and defeated by a group of level 80 players. After completion of this fight you have a chance to roll for two epic mounts called the Great Brewfest Kodo and Swift Brewfest Ram. There is also a club you can join called the "Brew of the Month Club" where you will be sent a new brew every month to sample. The event consists of 10 achievements and you can collect a tiny pink elekk pet and earn the title of "Brewmaster" in this world event.

4. Hallow's End- This event is based off of Halloween and taken to a spooky new level. You can trick or treat for candy, wands and masks. The wands transform other players or yourself into creepy characters like a ghost or a skeleton and these are needed for one of the achievements. The event boss is the Headless Horseman. A level 80 group shouldn't have too much trouble defeating this boss. If you would like to try your luck he can be found in the Scarlet Monastery in Tirisfal Glades. There are 16 achievements that can be earned during Hallow's End.

5. Feast of Winder Veil- This one resembles our very own Christmas. Greatfather Winter corresponds to Santa Claus. There are gifts under the trees and a quest to save a reindeer named Metzen. There are 13 achievements to accomplish and loads of event activities make this event fun for all. If you kiss a Winter Reveler under the mistletoe you can get a fun reward like mistletoe, snowflakes or fresh holly. The Holly can transform any mount into a reindeer for thirty minutes, yes even flying mounts! There is also a pet to collect that looks like a mini elf and they come in red or green.

With all of these fun world events, plus many other lesser known days, you can see why there is always something fun to do in the World of Warcraft.
