Everybody has heard of the twelve days of Christmas. Why not the twelve days of Valentines day?
I decided to be a little creative and do something special for the twelve days leading up to Valentine's Day. I am going to do the 12 Days of Valentine's and start 11 days before Valentine's, I will leave little gifts for my Valentine to find.
I have done this before only at Christmas time. By the end of the fifth day, she couldn't wait to see what was next. The anticipation was almost more exciting than the actual gifts.
So, I say, if you really want to impress her or just have some fun. Start with day day 1 and go through the list or get creative and create you own list.
Day 1 - one balloon that says "I Love You"
Day 2 - two tickets to a movie
Day 3 - three love songs, some taped and some written words, that mean something special to her. If you can sing give it a shot.
Day 4 - four love poems, hand write them. Tape one to the bathroom mirror, hang one from the car steering wheel, hide one in her purse last one goes on her pillow.
Day 5 - five green m&m's, then you can share the rest of the bag :O)
Day 6 - six chocolate candy hearts
Day 7 - seven assorted flowers. (white, red, pink, purple, green, blue an orange) She knows all the colors mean something.
Day 8 - eight heart shaped cookies, bake them your self!!!
Day 9 - nine message heart candies
Day 10 - ten "I love of cards", write a short note in each
Day 11 - eleven Hershey's hugs and kisses
Day 12 (Valentine's Day!!!) - say "I Love You" in twelve different languages. (or buy her something shinny)
I don't know, what do you think, I am still trying to figure out if I want to leave them in the same spot to be found at the same time every day, or if I want it to be more random.
This is a lot of fun planning and doesn't cost much. If you want to get more extravagant then you can really give her some nice stuff. Necklace, clothes or a ring. Of course a Day of beauty is always nice but make sure you schedule lunch with her that day. (Ask me how I learned that!!)
I have found that after the first couple of days its really not about the amount of money spent but how well you know her. She will just be thrilled with the effort once she figures out its for real.
I am so looking forward to this.
